The people who did whatever it is you're forgiving them for...it seems sometimes that they can't take being forgiven. That's not to say that forgiveness should ever be given on selfish terms, but it often works to ones advantage with enemies.
I don't think sacrificing yourself for a little forgiveness if worth it. It's a bit worrying that someone would think so. If it's that hard to forgive, maybe it's not something that ought to be forgiven.
It's not that it's hard to forgive, it's that it's... it's not worth holding a grudge. Anger makes you rot inside. Gotta get past it for your own good.
I guess it does. But I've seen you say you'll forgive but not forget. What's the difference? The anger's still rotting inside you, isn't it? You just push it aside and get on with the person like nothing's happened? That can't feel nice. I'd rather hold a grudge.
What's my option? Stay angry until the end of the universe? I forgive because it's half my own mistake. I don't forget so that I learn from it. I will not make that mistake again.
It's not worth it to waste energy on spite. I have more important things to deal with.

You can't keep a good man down, though.

Are you really going to get religious on me?

Only his actions.

And it did.

Don't expect it to go any other way.

Though I guess it's probably an advantage too. Better friends than enemies.

Certainly!

But I don't forget.

Remind me never to get on your bad side.

Don't think you could if you tried, DI Tyler.

Good, I'm glad.

Why's the sentiment worrying?

I'm... not good with words. Does that make sense?
