(no subject)

What is is what must be.

Why not? A moderate dose of skepticism is healthy.

Hmm. Well, forgive me for preferring to think rather than accepting platitudes.

[identity profile] hornrimmed.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I don't think so. There's too much at stake.

The only thing I can trust in is myself, or I risk my family's safety.

[identity profile] hornrimmed.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
All right, then.

[identity profile] slusho-fiend.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
That's...that's a bit fucked up. Because what happened in New York? That must be? No.

[identity profile] slusho-fiend.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...millions of people dying, serves a purpose? A big fucking monster serves a purpose? My brother freaking out like he did...serves a purpose? That's tripping right there.

[identity profile] slusho-fiend.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
You know? You don't know that. There's things that I've seen that wouldn't make sense to me, still don't fully, but now more than before. Why does it have to come to that?

[identity profile] saranwrapcash.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Not neccesarily, no. Just because Leibniz said it, doesn't make it true.

[identity profile] saranwrapcash.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
The idea that 'God' has to "tell" brilliant scientists, philosophers, doctors and mathematicians things that they are perfectly able to suss out themselves is absolutely insulting.

[identity profile] saranwrapcash.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to say that the idea of a God, any God, rolling his eyes at people is highly disconcerting. It seems rude and inconsiderate of someone who wants people to worship him and only him.

How should I take them, then? Do tell.

[identity profile] saranwrapcash.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well. Now I know you're filled with hokum and bunk, because if you 'appeared' as something I was 'comfortable' with, you'd appear a lot more intelligent and a lot less brat-pack-a-tastic than you're appearing. At the very least, you'd remind me of breakfast club, and you mostly remind me Doctor Baldman. So...no, not really. Explain further, try not to be as trite and snappish.

If I took things lighty, Boston would be a nuclear crater in the ground.

Tomato, tomahto.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that it would.

I don't have to know what being irradiated feels like to know I don't want to be irradiated.

You remember that Zach Quinto was in an ep, right? :D

[identity profile] leogrant.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
A somewhat disconcerting thought, but I can't disagree.

Because it means people like me exist and do what we do because we must, rather than we just went the wrong way.

Of course, *chuckles to himself* that logic probably makes perfect sense to a lunatic. *is still sure he's talking to someone not quite in their right mind*
