A perception? Explain.

You perceive that you die alone, but what difference does physical presence make to the feeling? A nation could be by your side, and loneliness would still pervade.

The undying have learned the value of memory.

Memory can be faulty, however.

Reality itself can be faulty. How can one place value there? Find what you hold dear, and grasp it tight when hardship falls.

There are few certainties in life, but tragedy is one of them.

I see. At times company is not unwelcome, that is true; but I find no sadness in solitude. For who is truly alone, with the world about them?

But what's the point of a world without relationships, friendships, connections? Those are incredible and powerful things. I'd hate to see them lost.
