Yes it bloody well DOES.

And now, of course, I'll now have the big dramatic scar on my side to remind me.

God, I hate my family.

Scars are hot, though! Chicks dig scars.

Oh, don't we all?

On men, maybe. But I doubt mine'll work much in my favour. It's all ugly and purplish at the moment.

This, of course, being the other side of my rather convoluted family. Not nice people at all -- all mention of cold iron aside.

Hummm. Well, I think they're hot whoever they're on, but I'm an odd one, or so I'm told.

Oh, everybody has family problems, love.

Odd is as odd does. Besides, it adds colour to an otherwise mundane existence.

Oh I know that. It's just rather disconcerting that somewhere along the line I've made a negative enough of an impression that they want me to die and agonizingly slow and painful death. Not exactly familial, is it?

And thank God for that.

I dunno. I've got some cousins who routinely try and kill me, and vice versa.

But of course.

Oh, so it's not just me then? That's rather comforting, actually. Though it just goes to show, some people have no sense of humor.

*winces* Do you need some help with the burns, miss ...?

And thanks for the offer but I happen to know a fantastic healer -- several, in fact -- and she's already taken a look. There'll be a scar, of course, but I suppose there's no avoiding that now.

And it's a sight better then an agonizing death.
