I think purpose is a little overrated. I mean, everyone wants it but no one is happy with what they get.

But even a purpose that isn't ideal is better than no purpose. I'm bored with school.

Well, you think you know exactly what you want but then... it's not. I used to have the sort of job that had high risks, virtually no gratitude, and was like this pit that the longer you did it the lower you sank until there was no getting out. But I helped people. I didn't feel like wasted potential. Now I have an incredible job. I set my own hours. I'm not going to die doing it. It's everything I could have asked for but it feels shallow. *Sighs*

What you need is a job that combines the two, then. Something where you help people, but you aren't going to die doing it, and you can set your own hours. That would be an amazing find. It just seems like it should be simple, but I doubt it.

What sort are you looking for?

I don't really know. Something meaningful. I feel like there's no sense in going to college. I'm not doing anything important. It's just education.

I'm with you on the college thing. Mostly I'm interested in working with my parents... studying human behavior and science, engineering - and reading H.P. Lovecraft. *laughs a bit*
