No, I just... don't really think about it that way?

Guess that makes sense. Anyway, I think it's very cool! But I can't play instruments to save my life.

You could try piano? It's easier than violin if you only play with one hand.

Nah, it's cool. [grins] My mom got me a keyboard for my birthday a couple years ago, I tried to be Amanda Palmer for a weekend, and disaster struck. It's just not my thing.

I hardly ever leave my loft. It's not as bad as people say.

--Oh? I think it'd be cool to do something like that. Less social anxiety!

What do you do for a living?

I have social anxiety like you wouldn't believe. I could write a book, but that would require effort.

I write and illustrate a comic book title under an independent label.

[snorts] Wouldn't do much good anyway. We'd all have to wait for our Amazon orders to come in the mail, to read it.

No kidding! That's awesome! What comic book?

Wow, really? Most people I talk to just look at me funny when I say that. But yeah, I'm the author. It's fun.

I think I'm mostly just the hugest graphic novel NERD of the century. It's a problem. But! That's incredible! Never would've expected to come across--man. [grinning!] And you do that all from your loft?

I dunno, I've met some pretty big nerds! But yeah, I do the sketching, panels, and text from my loft. I don't put everything together or edit, that's for my publisher.

Okay, okay, you caught me, definitely not the biggest. But I do try! Do you color too, or is that someone else? And either way, that's the bulk of the work, man!

Yup. It definitely keeps me busy enough for a full time job.
