Well, don't look so upset about it. Doesn't matter, except that you can't see through clouds and light pollution with your tools. If you really cared about it, you'd find a way. But that's probably why your obsession cooled. You don't really care about it as much as other things.

I'd never let anything stop my studies. Not even these foolish political matters. All this talk of war. I could care less. My mother says that's the reason I was put in Slytherin. I have high ambition, but it's only for one thing.

Slytherin is a house. Our school has four houses that all students are sorted into. It's all based on personality traits, really. Slytherin is focused on ambition, but for some reason that's been giving a horrible reputation of turning out all sorts of nasty witches and wizards.
