[shrugs slightly, hands snipping nervously at his side. His eyes glance back towards the window, to the family inside the house playing a simple game of Monopoly] I... I get lonely sometimes... [looks down, embarrassed]

I can understand. I feel alone most of the time too, even when surrounded by my townsfolk...they just don't think like I do.

[starts guiltily, turning quickly to face her. Around him is the tattered remains of the rosebush he'd been standing beside, the latest casualty of his snipping hands] A little?

Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you. You shouldn't be out here in the cold. Don't you have a home?

[offers a shaky sort of nod, slowly, carefully raising a metal finger to point in the direction over her shoulder, to the lonely, dilapidated mansion at the top of the mountain in the distance]

[ feels quite alone just looking at the manor on the mountain/hill]
