I've noticed it at times too. Usually I was told not to conduct business for the order then. Never did understand why. But then again it was a silly sprite that told me that. Some of his wisdom was a tad on the off side.
I find it to be striking, though understand it to be part of the natural way of things. Wisdom seems to change with time and people. I am certain your sprite friend has a belief that supports his view, albeit a tad on the off side.
Selkie believes only in Selkie. Which makes for some difficult situations when we need him to remember certain things. I fear he may have been away from his people far too long and can't remember exactly why things are done certain ways.

The druidic order forbids me to fight. But sometimes I find that the only way I can protect the people that the order defends is with fists and not words. I try to walk a fine line between the two.
