Different enough not to be too much the same perhaps.
There's plenty I miss, being able to wield a sword and not suddenly be surrounded by armed cops for one... and in spite of the constant lesson my guardians were kind, and my lover was caring.
*Grins back* Sorry, most long lived people are rather proud of their years.
On my world "fallen" is a good thing, but I get the impression it's not so desirable here. Immortality has it's disadvantages, but you can always make a better future, that's one of the better parts.
Well, the Grigori have their reasons to be angry I suppose. They were cast out of Heaven and into the abyss for daring to fall in love with mortal women.
Granted there were a few bad apples among them. Them I'd sooner not meet. But Sam and even Azazeal seem... alright.

But then, would you really want them to be?

People generally want to go back because they miss something... and if it's not going to be the same, then why go back?

Is there anything you miss, Corvo?

What do you miss so much Mary?

And though I sometimes choose to forget it, this isn't my time. Not really.

We don't have genetic or blood related family.. there's only twelve of us in existence, so things would get a little incestuous.
When is your time? I'm not prying, but sometimes you seem so far away.
Re: *also locked*
Oh, no, it's quite alright to ask. I was born in the Early 14th century, around about a decade before the black plague swept across Europe.
Re: *also locked*
Wow. That makes me quite a kid at 150. Did you take the long path? Or do you travel in time?
Re: *also locked*
Smiles slightly. Stop it! You'll make me feel old.
I made a bargain with one of the Fallen. Service in exchange for power. The longevity seems to be something of a fringe benefit.

Re: *also locked*
You made a deal with them for what? Just the longevity or perhaps something else?
Re: *also locked*
With Shemyaza, the angel of Sorcery -- service for strength. I'm not even sure why he took the offer.
Re: *also locked*
But I never judge anothers choices.
Re: *also locked*
Perhaps you're right, and I've been wrong. Frightening thought, that.

I would take the stand, probably, that you could always go back, so long as you hold your memories.

And even if there was, I'm not sure whether I'd want to take it.

So, Literally, you might be able to, but not really. 'Cuz back is a relative term.
I'm in a very philosphical mood today.

smiles slightly. So am I.

In my case, I wouldn't want to go back.

And perhaps that's for the best. Because even if you could go back it'd never be the same.
