A tricky thing to measure, but I'm not just talking about good old IQ here, it requires a certain creativity, especially in holding onto life, or returning from the dead.

Strength? Could be internal fortitude, could simply be the clean and press. Fitness? Could be aptness for the job, or merely the ability to run distances.
I suppose that depends on your definition of fittest. I tend to think people who learn to adapt are a hell of a lot better off than just about anybody.
Oh, yes. Adaptability is an important trait, no doubt. But they need also to be able -- physically, mentally, emotionally -- to carry out that willingness to adapt, aye?
