It is. Men like to see themselves as the Alpha male. Strong, protective, fierce. But they only see that side, they don't see the other side to a lion. Someone who will fight their own and murder them should they try for their own leadership.

There's more than that to a lion. It's the family structure and guarding of territory along with the alpha male that fits. I served long enough to know men and women both fight each other constantly. If it isn't physical it's still something.
