[There's someone observing him from not too far away. He's watching the way his hands move specifically but his gaze will drift to his face on occasion, hesitation in his eyes when he does so, before he goes back to watching his hands once more]

[Oh, he understands quite well and he's not really hoping to get properly noticed, not at first. However, he finds his feet drifting soon carrying him closer until he's only at arms length from the other man, eyes still on the illustrations.

Muttered, his voice a little dazed, almost hazy.[ Done that before, draw in books, journals. Draw things to keep them in place, in sight. Keep them in your mind so you won't lose them or you can...You can... [A momentary pause as he considers his words.] Or you can try<.
