She smiles at the other and offer's him the bowl, inside is hand made chocolate cake batter. "I am making Chocolate cake, and it is not rude at all to ask. Have a taste, if you would like."
He bows and dips the tip of his finger into the mix. "Oishii deshyo! It will make an excellent cake." He bows again. "I am Nakamura Hiro. Hajimemashite!"
She smiles brightly as he seems to enjoy it and returns his bow with one of her own. "Kansha no kotoba." She smiles at his bows as she pulls the bowl back to finish mixing, after all hand made batter had to be mixed quite a lot before it was ready. "I am Ogama Hariku, and its an honor to meet you Nakamura-san." She is somewhat excited to find someone who speaks Japanese, as she has yet to meet one yet, so she speaks the last bit in her native tongue. Which the mun would do, but shes so outta practice its not funny. "It shall taste much better when it has baked, would you like some then?" She offered, since she was making a big cake anyway it would be a shame not to share.
"A pleasure, Ogama-san. I would be quite honored to have a slice of cake." He sits down on a low wall. "It is a lovely day to be outdoors, yes? I can see why you would choose to be out here instead of inside."
OOC: Don't worry, my Japanese is a lot more rudimentary, so I'll definitely go with the they're-speaking-Japanese-even-if-we're-writing-it-in-English thing.
"Please, it is all mine, it is lovely to be enjoying the company of others while I mix Nakamura-san." She watches him as he makes himself comfortable glad that he decided to make himself comfortable. "It is indeed a lovely day, I am much more at home with nature then I am indoors. It is always such a shame to be stuck indoors needlessly.
[{I took it in school two years ago but obviously that was two years ago xD So the whole speaking Japanese but not totally works for me!}]
"This is your bakery?" He's looking at the building they're sitting in front of. He peers a bit at the inside, but he's far more comfortable out here. "I am not so much, but I love to be outside on a day like today. On hot days I'll head for the beach. Winter, I'll stay indoors. I'm not a big fan of winter."
She nods and allows him to look before speaking. "Yes, well, it is my mothers bakery really, but she has been ill for quite some time now." Her face turns a bit said before she shakes her head. "It's just me now, sometimes I'm not sure how she did it! But today we are quiet and it is so nice I figured I'd do my work outside today." At the mention of being outside she nods, Hariku is used to the countryside, having grown up there, so shes quite a fan of the outdoors. "Hmm, I love the warm days, because of all the festivals!" She said with a nod. "Winters are not nearly so much fun, I hate bundling up."
"It must be hard to run all this by yourself. You have no siblings to help?" He grins. "I love festivals, too. Where do you celebrate obon? Most of my family comes from Osaka. It got a little crazy this year." To say the least. At least Uncle Jiro didn't get arrested this time.
He nods at her dislike. "I much prefer not to have so much on. Yukata weather is much better."
"It can be, at times but it is very important to my mother, so I keep it up. I have but one brother, but he took over my fathers shop when my father passed some years ago. Besides, it is not his place to sit and bake cakes all day." At the talk of festivals she gets excited, festivals being her favorite things. "We travel to where my family is, in Okayama. You must have a large family then yes? My family is quite small so we don't have large get togethers, but I should think those should be quite enjoyable as well!" She admired large families that could stay in touch, hers was so small, but they hardly ever spoke with one another, except for at the festivals.
She nodded in agreement with a sigh. "Perhaps I am old fashioned, but I love Kimono's, I would wear them all the time if I didn't get strange stares all the time, it works at work, because it sort of adds to the feel, but around town, I always get looked at funny." She chuckles a bit and nods. "I must put this in the oven or we will have no cake, you may come with me, if you'd like. You can meet my pet I won this year!" She said referring to the small shop fish.
He grins. "We have a pretty big family. My mother had a sister and my father had 2 brothers. They all came from Osaka, so we meet there. However, the business headquarters is in Tokyo, so our family has lived there for quite a while. So, we have obon in Osaka and shogatsu in Tokyo."
"I live in Asakusa. I like the older neighborhood. People wear kimonos there more often than other sections. Kimonos are so much more comfortable than western clothes and much more attractive."
Hiro stands up and follows her into the shop. "You won a pet?"
"He repairs and fordges swords for trade." She said shaking her head. "My father used to be a great swords master, and taught me much. But I fear I'm much better at baking then swordsmanship." She listens as he explains about his family, quite interested indeed.
"That is quite the family, and you all meet up for festivities?" She asked tilting her head a bit as she listened more. She'd been to very little festivals this year, so to hear about other people going to enjoy them made he almost feel as though she had gone. "Business headquarters? Is it a big business?" Hariku being so used to the small businesses she had watched her parents build from the ground up found it interesting to know that some day perhaps her mothers business could be just as big.
"Oh, I've heard is beautiful there. I've never been, I hardly get out to travel now a days, I might as well be an old woman!" She jokes and shakes her head, as she pours the batter into a few round tins and places them in a small oven towards the back. With a sigh, looking quite content, it was the third cake she'd baked today, but this cake was a more personal cake while the others had been to sell. "I'm not a big fan of western clothing. Some styles I enjoy, not I like to stay traditional if I can, much more flattering." She nods and waves him over behind the counter, so that he can look at a small little gold fish. It isn't much but she still leans in and looks at the small fish fondly.
"My brother said I was too old to play the childrens games to win her, but he says a lot of the things I do are childish. But I as so happy when I won her! I named her Dory, after the fish in the American cartoon "Finding Nemo"."
"I have a very good sword. It is nearly 400 years old." Of course, he can't tell her how he got it without either freaking her out completely or making her think he's crazy.
"Maybe not for all the festivals, but certainly for obon and shogatsu. I like seeing all my cousins."
"I am the CEO of Yamagato Industries. My grandfather created it and my father made it very successful. We started in manufacturing, but now we mostly deal with computer software and hardware."
"When you have your own business to run, it is hard to go anywhere else. Especially when it is a smaller business. You always have to be there. Even if you have other employees, you are the one on whom all the daily decisions rest. In my case, I have my family to help, so it is not so hard for me to get away, but I can understand how hard it must be for you to get any time for yourself."
He looks at the goldfish. "Kawaii! I love that movie. I am a big fan of the Disney movies. I wish my landlord would let me have a pet."
She smiles at the other and offer's him the bowl, inside is hand made chocolate cake batter. "I am making Chocolate cake, and it is not rude at all to ask. Have a taste, if you would like."
