My mister. He's gonna go back home to New Orleans. Thought he'd give me some advance notice when he was leaving, but well.... heh.

Well, he lives down there and I live up here in New York, at least while I'm going to college.

I'll see him again end of October, when he comes on up for Halloween. Which is a long time, feels like.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to going through it again. You think I'd be used to it from last semester, but heh...

You said you had some experience with this sort of situation - might I inquire, without prying, what your story is?

My father left when I was little, he would come back and visit me sometimes and even though he came and went so many times, it never hurt any less.

*shrugs* But the past is the past and my father is long gone now. I doubt I'll be getting any more visits after the last one.
