Make pharmaceuticals!

Oh, is that all? With all of that money, and all of that technology, and all of that space?

.... WHat else would they be doing?

I haven't the faintest idea! I get strange looks when I waltz into places asking questions. Maybe you could ask for me.

Um, I guess I could... why do you get weird looks?

It might be because I'm a very happy person. People in stuffy buildings always seem so somber. I think they've forgotten how to smile.

Isn't that sad, little girl?

I guess it is sad! My... my dad was sad, last week. But I cheered him up. And now things are going to be different. Maybe adults just need to be cheered up sometimes.

Oh, I agree. Adults tend to find a lot less humor in things. Does your daddy work in an office?

He works for a pharmaceutical company, Umbrella! He's one of the head researchers!

How very convenient! And do you know all that he does?

Yeah! He's a virologist, so he researches all the virus stuff to help make the pharmaceuticals to make people better. My mom helps too, but she's not his main assistant anymore like she used to be.

Virologist. Interesting. So many things can be done with viruses, you know. That's very intriguing.

Intriguing? It's just what he does. He's always looking at reports and stuff. It's kinda boring if you ask me!

Perhaps it will be more interesting to you when you're older.

Maybe! I dunno if my parents want me to be scientists like them, actually. I've gone to science camp and stuff, but they've never really said what they expect me to do.

You could still find it interesting, once you know more about it. I'm sure your parents would love to explain things to you, if you asked.

Is that it? I imagine that's a very "pharmaceutical" thing to do. So many companies have side projects, certainly they do, as well.
