Anyone up for a literary discussion?

Always.

What book?

I have lots of favorites. Seriously, lots and lots of favorites.

What kind of stuff do you write?

If I had to pick a favorite author, I'd have to say Ayn Rand.

I have the same sentiment.

Lycidas was a good poem, but I enjoyed "Paradise Lost" much more.

One of my favorite verse from that was this:

"Nathless he so endured, till on the beach
Of that inflamed sea, he stood and called
His legions, angel forms, who lay entranced
Thick as autumnal leaves that strow the brooks
In Vallombrosa, where th' Etrurian shades
High overarched embow'r;"

Certainly. What would you like to discuss?

I was actually going to suggest 'Paradise Lost,' but it seems as though someone's beaten me to the punch, so to speak.

Do you know Thoreau?

Well, I suppose I'm something of a traditionalist, as I personally prefer Walden to his other works. Between the two of those, though, I believe The Maine Woods has more a sense of... adventure, you might say.

Depending on what book you want to discuss, I'm in.

Good to hear.

If I may suggest. Next time you reach that level of boredom again, try reading 'On the Road' by Jack Kerouac. It's something that will keep your brain going. *smiles*
