As far as I'm concerned, none of these remakes really needed to be done. Halloween, Texas Chainsaw (ok...I might not have hated that one so much), Friday the 13th, Dawn of the Dead. But apparently all original thoughts in Hollywood are killed immediately, and people keep paying to see them, so this is what we get.

It's sad, really. The lack of original movies in Hollywood lately is downright pathetic. They need to stop screwing up classics and start using their brains - or whatever they have of them.

Are they going to keep ruining all of the classics? I liked the Freddy Kreuger movies the way they were, so I totally agree with you. This doesn't need to be remade. And anyway, Pestilence and I are pretty partial to your Freddy and I'm fully expecting wannabes to emerge after that movie comes out. Urgh.

They really were just fine as they were. I mean, obviously I'm a little more partial to the original, and I realize he became less of a monster and more of a murderous anti-hero in later movies... but whatever. It kind of works for him - you almost don't take him seriously until he's ripped your throat out. XD

Oh God... the WANNABES. D: I'm not looking forward to an infestation of JEH!Freddies on here. I have nothing against JEH, but he just doesn't say 'Freddy' to me. Especially at the beginning of the trailer... he seems so pathetic. :P

THANK YOU. I have nothing against JEH, and he is a good actor, but he's just not Freddy.

I mean, COME ON. Freddy Krueger would not run like a scared little child and hide. Maybe it's just me, but I always imagined him having a sort of "yeah, I killed your kids, fuck you" sort of attitude about it... and he was released from jail on a technicality. They didn't hunt him down on no proof, jeez.
