Is snow that bad 'cause I've never seen any before!

Nah, snow is great. I just can't ride my motorcycle in the winter.

My daddy 'n I just moved to South Dakota and there's gonna be lots of snow here. Does that mean I can't ride my bicycle? I'm thisclose to gettin' my training wheels off!

It'll be too cold to get on a bike plus, riding in the ice and snow could get you hurt. Yer better off to wait until spring.

Awww! *pouts a little* Do you live in South Dakota, too?

[Chuckles softly.] I'm from New York City. We don't get as much snow as you will.

*curious look* Where's New York City?

It's a long way from South Dakota. It's on the east coast. [He grabbed an atlas with a map of the US, pointing out South Dakota and NYC.]

*looks at the map* That's far, far away! I used to live by the ocean, too! Do you swim in your ocean?

[shakes his head] Nooooo. It's too dirty in New York. Where did you live by the ocean?

San Francisco. My grandma used to take us to San Diego sometimes to swim!

Neither am I. If I could actually hibernate, I would.

Sounds like a plan. I'd do that, too.

You know, if you figure out a way to actually do it, feel free to let me know.

Or I might pass out? Damn. I was really looking forward to sleeping through the winter.

Maybe it's where we live. A warmer climate would make winter better.

Oh I know it's were we live. I'm a Florida girl originally. I'm used to the warm weather.

[shivers at the thought] All that snow.

[smirks] I can't ride my Harley in the winter. Gotta take the train.

Oh the horror of being stuck in a train with all those people.
