yeah. i can break the rules (again) because i am the mod god and i'm doing so just to say (as much as it'll cause annoyance, i'm sure) that i'm totally saddened that this has become a community for fic and rp jump-start sentances. i like a good fic as much as the next person and understand that rp is consuming, but this was never meant to be that.

*shrugs* i don't know really. just wanted to say that.

I never intend mine as RP start-ups. I crosspost in the character journal, in case someone wants to. However, I don't stop anyone from doing that, as I wouldn't feel right telling someone they aren't allowed to comment to it.

If you feel strongly about it, perhaps you should add a rule that the stories posted on the comm have to have commenting disabled? Although then no one would be able to give feedback.

I don't know if there really is a solution to it. Sorry! Just brainstorming because I had to wake up far too early today and my brain is mush.

I didn't realise people were using these to jumpstart RP. I never intended mine to be so, though I'm as much guilty of writing fic sentences as the next. But I figure they're as much a "story" as the ones I post that aren't fic.

I would agree with the first commenter. I actually thought that was one of the lovely things about the community, was that six words could evoke a feeling that would lead pups to interaction, especially those who had never interacted before.

But I agree about the comments disabled idea. I cross post to my own journals, so that seems a fair and reasonable solution.

Agreed with first poster. I mean, these are MEANT to be inspiring. I agree it probably sshouldn't be used to jump start RP's, but if it inspires one? I don't necessarily see the harm in that.

I think possibly the best thing would be to disable comments in the comm, and if people want comments, they can cross post to their own journals. It's what I do. *smile*
