River is getting married to some man who got her drunk and plays in a band or something. I've never met him! I have no idea who he is or that she was even with someone.

I always thought Jayne...or even the Captain....well, no, not the Captain. He's too protective over her.

I know! She's way too young. *starts to pace* Even if she is getting better, she still needs to be watched, she's still very much a child! He obviously isn't aware of how much attention she needs, how much I have to watch her.

Plus he gets her drunk! That's not safe to do with her.

Exactly! She thinks its because I think she is broken but that's not the case at all. She's young, she's never really had to look after herself. How can she look after another?

Ain't got nothing to do with being broken. It's got to do with takin' time to get to know someone an' know how you fit an' if you want to spend the rest of your life with them. Makin' sure they get on with your family...She can't just go off an' get married!
