I read something about lesbian sex and tea the other day.

Sibyl Trelawney teaches Divination. In the North Tower. She wants me to have tea with her.

I remember!

'We are having hot lesbian sex. And by lesbian sex, we mean tea, but it's still hot.'

Here's hoping that she doesn't mean 'lesbian sex' when she says 'tea.'

I'm really trying to find a way out of going.

You could always say the tea leaves say it would be detrimental for you to be in the North Tower before the next Blue Moon.

Do you think she may try to talk you into changing your mind about substituting?

*eyes twinkle* Oh, you mean her interest might be other than professional?

I highly doubt that. But she keeps wanting to tell me what the future holds, and I really do not feel like listening to "gloom and doom" 'predictions' because she's bored..

Yeah, yeah, of course you'd say so... *winks* Don't worry, if she kinda likes you, that's all right, you can't really help that. Unless you like her too and are covering up for her, of course!

She probably just wants to get her bet in on what will happen to me this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the staff has a little board hidden somewhere about who thinks what will happen to make me leave!

And she requires your presence to 'see' what the future holds for you? Merlin, Professor Lupin, do you think she might actually... need to see your aura from near-by? Shocking!

... a. Ask the students. b. ... oh wait, the students may have their own betting pool! At least some.

*grins* My reaction to something like that would be to just ignore it and stick around. *eyes him up speculatively* Do you think you could do something unexpected like that?

I doubt the students will be of any help! The Weasley twins thought that it'd be a good idea to ask me after my first class whether I'd like to place a bet on whether I was most likely to die, get eaten, vanish mysteriously, have a Potions-related-'accident' or submit my own idea of what would happen to me!

He chuckled a bit, shaking his head. I certainly intend to stay as long as I can! I'm enjoying teaching.

Tonks threw her head back and laughed. Fred. And. George. They can make anyone's day brighter. What did you tell them?

She grinned up at him and her eyes twinkled. That's good to hear. Maybe you can anonymously... ok, it's Hogwarts, discreetly place a bet on actually lasting through to next year and actually win it. The way it sounds, the odds would be really profitable.

I told them that being eaten sounded the most interesting, and it would probably give everyone the most to talk about!

He laughed a bit, shaking his head. This was what he needed, and he was always glad for it, from her or from the less serious students. I'll tell Harry to do it for me and then give him a cut!

Oh now! How could getting eaten be more interesting than drowning while flying on your broom? ... do you like flying, by the way?

I think that for him, Fred and George might actually give a discount. Oh yes, that would be a good long bet that the winning of would be good! She snickered. Of course, you could also like the twins if they're also running the professors bet too. I don't think they do, 'cause I don't think they get along with many of the professors, but it's always a good question.

Oh, and about that invitation, what is the problem - the tower, the tea, the company, or the 'entertaining conversation', er, small talk?
