So I've gathered. I find it very scary, myself.

Rather, yes. The sad part is the number of them that think the pregnancy is delightful but don't seem worried by the diseases they likely have.

Or the dangers or discomforts of pregnancy.

Or even whether they'll be good parents.

But that would ruin their fun! Can't have that.

Oh no, we can't have people thinking through anything.

I can understand the appeal of living in the moment, but they take it to an extreme.

It's taking it to te extreme with another life, one that has no choice to get up and walk away.

I never even considered motherhood until recently when I ended up adopting a teenage son through no fault of my own. The concept of entrusting me with an infant who can't get up and walk away scares me, and I think of myself as relatively sane and sensible.

This is just criminal carelessness.
