[starts to go into Riley's room]

[ was headed towards the couch but pauses when he sees Xander heading the other direction ] ... Unless you've been hiding one, there's no television in there.

[smirks, heading into his own room to grab the DVD before coming back into the living room]

[ shaking his head, Riley went into the kitchen to make popcorn before Xander walked back out ] Want a beer?

[puts the DVD into the system] Always.

[ grabs and opens two beers, then pours the popcorn into a bowl once it's done, carefully carrying it all into the living room ]

[slides over to give him room on the couch, but sits wide as he waits for the DVD to get to the menu screen]

[ hands him one of the beers as he sits down, setting the bowl in what space there is between their legs ]

[takes the beer, turning the movie on and then taking a swig, a few minutes in, Xander glances over and then back at the movie]

[ feeling eyes on him, Riley glances back but doesn't say anything - instead, he looks back at the screen and takes a swig of his own beer ]

[ and their hands touch, which causes Riley to jerk his hand away and clear his throat awkwardly ]

[and Xander goes back a bit but grabs popcorn nonetheless. finishing off the beer, he stands to get another and as he turns to move out from the couch he half-falls across Riley and ends up climbing over him before skidding off to the kitchen]
