[She doesn't wince or even blink as he does so, she just glances down at her arm and then back up at him, watching his reaction. As he would expect, the wound rapidly closes and all that's left to show it happened was some blood on her arm.]
A mentor could be useful, since I have a lot of questions. But really, all I want to know is that I'm not going to be alone forever, that I'll have at least a friend I can talk to a hundred years down the road.
I can teach you a thing or two 'bout your mutation if y'want. An' I can pretty much guarantee that if it's anythin' like mine, you'll be around for a long while yet.
*he grins, hoping the smile comes across as being more friendly than predatory*
[She laughs, smiling in return.] I don't think I've introduced myself yet. I'm Claire. And yeah, I'd love to learn about...is that what some people call it? Mutation? I just call it my ability or power.
Maybe I'm not a mutant. I'm still human, just special. [Her nose wrinkles a little, but she's still wearing a slight smile] When did you find out you were different?
[ooc: I'm loving the clash of Heroes & X-Men powers. It's so amusing to me!]
*his brow furrows a little - he's not that used to people asking about him*
....since I was a kid.
((OOC: Oh yes! I've watched Series One of Heroes, still not entirely sure yet how they work in comparison to the X-Men ones. But as far as Victor is concerned, it's the X-Gene thing. And yes, he is being creepy.))
We are too human. We look the same, and except for people with our power, we die the same. I've already been hunted down and captured for having an ability once, I don't want it to happen again. So we're human, okay?
[ooc: haha it's okay, no one can ever be as big of a creeper to her as Sylar is!]
*trying not to snap at her, since he wants to stay on her good side for now*
We're nothing like humans. They hate us an' they're afraid of us 'cause of what we can do. I been hunted down myself, girl - don't make any difference what you think of them, they're gonna keep on comin' for you anyway.
... I'm not going to argue with you. [She crosses her arms over her chest and sulks a little, before looking down at the ground instead of at him.] It's fine to not agree on something, but I'm telling you I want people to think I'm human, even if I'm actually not. I'm afraid to be anything else.
You try being put in an orange jumpsuit and having drugs put in you to stop your power from working. It's easier for people like you, you're big enough to be strong and actually...you know, fight. Especially with your built in claws. In case you haven't noticed, I'm a little on the pint sized scale of things. It's not so easy for me to fight back.
*pauses for a moment; he hadn't really expected her to accept his offer. Maybe he sounded more genuine than he'd even realised, but that's good*
Sure, why not? We regenerates have gotta stick together, right? For all we know we're gonna be stuck with each other for the next hundred years. May as well get along.
[She hesitates, shifting so she can shove her hands into the back pockets on her jeans.] Getting along sounds nice, but I don't think you'd want the constantly chaotic job of watching after me. I have a tendancy to get into trouble a lot.

*a myriad of ideas run through his mind now, not all of them with honourable intentions at heart*
