If I might pry, what inspired you to have such a talk with your friend?

Well, I love Greg to death but he's such a grump, a total prude, and down on everything. Most of the time he's really funny about it but I'd just like to see him happy. To find something or someone to wake up for. To get excited about. But so far he'd rather just snark at me.

He sounds rather immature.

He can be but he really is a great guy underneath. About the dumbest smart person you will ever meet.

But enough about Greg. *smiles* What's your story?

I'm a practitioner and an alchemist. I came from an old, wealthy family. I work for an agency that's interested in protecting non-magic users form the arcane. When I'm not busy I like to study, travel and make new acquaintances.

*eyebrow raises* Alchemist? Like make your own gold type deal? I thought that stuff didn't work. Though I really shouldn't be surprised. Nothing is the way I thought it was.

Oh I love to travel. Where's the best place you've been?

Alchemy isn't easy to explain, its part science, part philosophy, part spiritualism. The quest most alchemists were known for was trying to make gold, but as far as I know, it's not possible ... just because that's nonsense doesn't mean it all is, though.

I like secluded places with lost of natural surroundings and open air. The Japaneses country side was beautiful. Certain beaches in Greece were marvelous. Coastal Ireland was another favorite place ...

*nods not fully understanding* So how do you use it then if not for the gold thing?

I haven't spent a lot of time in Japan but Greece is GORGEOUS.

Mostly, for holistic purposes, but I don't rule out indulging in the old aqua vitae now and then.

You should go sometime. I always find exposing myself to new places very rewarding.
