What sort of "spirits" or "demons"?

I thought I heard something...look, it's a long story. Something weird's going on, my roommate mentioned elemental demons, so it's the best lead I've got.

Well, I'm not sure if grindylows, kappas, and redcaps are the kind of creatures you mean. If so, I can help.. I know quite a bit about dangerous creatures.

All right, I'll give you the long version.

I'm taking a bath and I stick my head under the water--I do that. I'm five at heart, okay? Anyway, I hear something. It sounds like a...like a little kid. Or something. But it's not all muffled like things under water SHOULD sound, it's like it's in my head. I sit up and don't hear it anymore. I didn't hear it when I stuck my head back under the water, but I know I heard it the first time.

Nothing I've come across or read about would be in bathwater.

Might you have a poltergeist? They are rather.. "playful" creatures.. And could probably achieve what you heard. Do other odd things happen in your house? Possessions moved and the like?

Bath? Probably a naiad, then. Well, maybe. I don't know how active they are these days, and around here it could really be anything.

Naiads are water nymphs. The fountain naiads diversified after most of their fountains were destroyed. I've found a few in weird places, like bathtubs.

They are very dangerous.

I was afraid of that. Now I really hope I'm just being paranoid.
