The captain? If you want advice on how to fire a phaser, he's probably best choice. But relationships?

That is surprisingly not terrible advice. If you want to start something with someone you do sort of need to let them know.

But it could complicate things on a professional level.

...and a personal friendship level.

Or it could enhance both, and that's coming from someone who did the whole 'relationship with your sort-of boss' and had it not work out well. You might just need to take a chance.

Well, he is not... my boss. It would be bad for the whole ship if we could not work in tandem.
