Of course, Sir Knight.
[She smiles slightly.] I've never been at a proper court. My father keeps only a few servants, and the only knights I see are those who pass through.
I... my father's castle is in the Welshlands. I am given to understand that many call the castle "La Val Sans Retour."
(So didn't steal a castle name from another Arthur interpretation. Nooo. Forgive me if it's in use in Merlin canon!)

Please call me Uther, or Pendragon if you insist on modesty.
*grins* I know the place. I've fought several campaigns in the place- although never in your father's lands.
...there's tell of a beautiful woman though, of marrying age. If a Knight is brave enough to chance it.

Then I shall insist that you call me Olwen.
It is a haven for those who find the Welshlands rather inhospitable, unless a guest makes a trespass against the lord of the castle.
[She smiles, though not quite as sincerely as before.] Is there? The caveat makes it sound like the stories told around a fire.

And what can you tell me of your Lord and Father? *shifts his head* Rumors, nothing more. There countryside is full of them.
*studying her without trying to appear so* Knights talk...so do maidens. Can you begrudge us our moments of interest?

Many of the stories of my father are very true. He keeps no knights himself, but he finds the wandering bards and knights amusing. Until they attempt to court his daughter. Then they have overstepped the bounds of his hospitality.
[She watches him, a small smile on her features.]
