Knew it would. Told you it wasn't so bad, didn't I? And I don't know any other kids, so don't worry.

That's a total lie! There's lots of kids that come in the diner although, admittedly, they are a lot younger than me, so I think I might be a little disturbed if I shared a pet name with them.

And Olivia's younger than me, too! Granted, only by, like, a year. But still.

I don't know them, though. Most of them don't even know I exist, except for the idea of someone who makes their food.

Sure, but 'kid' is a name for guys. And I'm not likely to be giving her a pet name anytime soon, anyway.

Wait, since when is it exclusively for guys? Wouldn't 'boy' or 'lad' or something by exclusively for guys? 'Kid' can work for either gender!

...'Lad'?

I don't know. It's always just seemed to have more of a guy connotation for me.

[Laughs!] Okay, yeah. I don't know anyone who uses 'lad' anymore.

[Further snerk.] ...Perhaps this is because of your pedo tendencies? [Don't get upset, Liam, he's totally joking!]

It's like you try to freak me out every time you open your mouth. *isn't upset! isn't, is just -- a little nervous :l*

*but hopefully covers it up by reaching for Toby and pulling him closer for another, longer kiss*

--! [...wow, yeah. that's an effective way to shut him up!

Well, it's not as if he's not nervous, too! ;;; Because he's only ever kissed one other person before and that was while the other person was drunk off his ass so the kisses weren't great... Definitely not anything comparable to this!

But that won't stop him from returning the kiss a little eagerly, bringing a hand up again to rest against Liam's chest.]

*Liam's very good at shutting people up, be with food or kisses or other things.*

*smiles lightly into the kiss, relaxing into the pleasure of it*

*but, nevertheless, breaks it off after a moment, pushing his nose into Toby's cheek* I oughta unpack.

[Clutches the fabric of his shirt in his fingers for a moment, taking in a breath before he nods, and slowly lets go.] ...'kay. Do you want any help?

*smiles fondly for a moment, running his fingers through Toby's hair*

Sure. Yeah, if you wanna stick around.

[Completely matching that smile] Yeah... I was going into Liam-withdrawal. I need as long of a fix as I can get.

*grins widely and kinda stupidly, leaning in for another spontaneous kiss*

[A kiss which Toby returns, after he gets over the initial surprise. And both hands come right back up to cling to the front of Liam's shirt.]

*slides his own hands around Toby's middle, mumbling into the kiss* See, this is what I was worried about: my productivity at work's gonna shoot right down.

[That has him smiling into the kiss, the blush on his cheeks spreading a little further.] S'pose I shall just have to limit my kitchen-visits, then?

Well, technically that'd probably be for the best. Doesn't mean I want it, though.

Hmm! It's certainly a dilemma; I'm afraid you have me addicted, sir. I'm not sure I could refrain from a few brief Liam-kisses during a long eight-hour work shift.

*laughs, shaking his head, although he's not moving very far from Toby right now* Well, as long as we keep it professional, I'm sure no one will deny us that.

Oh, you know me. I'm always one-hundred percent professional! [Pft, yeah right.]

*yeah, pardon Liam while he lets out a snort of laughter* Right, right, of course.

Hey, don't laugh at me! So rude! [Tugs gently at his hair with his fingers, laughing as well.] I'm totally professional. I even have a serious business face!

I like you being not professional. It's not like the diner really calls for -- you have a "serious business face"? Okay, let's see it.
