[Smiles at her new acceptance letter.]

Is it your school acceptance letter?

[Nods enthusiastically.] Yes Hiro, it is. I've been accepted back to medical school.

Congratulations! You will be a wonderful doctor! Have you thought about your specialty?

[She smiles and does the sign for 'thank you' before she responds.] Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

How have you been, Hiro?

I am much better now. I feel very much better.

That's wonderful. I was hoping for the best considering the condition you were in the last time I saw you.

I am also glad that you are well and that you have the chance to begin things anew.

Everything seems to be new since the world now knows of people with abilities. Though, I haven't been too quick to tell anybody about mine.

[She tilts her head, as a question pops into her head.]Have you told anyone yet?

I told my sister. I was running a side business where Ando and I were using our abilities, but we thought it would be better not to keep doing that.

How did she take the news? [This being the question she asks herself, before she tells anyone. It hasn't been too long since the outing, and she still isn't quite sure about how people will take the news in the future.] I've heard that many people are opening business that are similar to those. I'm guessing that the pay is well? [or in his case, was well.]

She was surprised. She may have an ability herself after all. Both of our parents had abilities.

I have more money without running the business. I am, after all, a billionaire.

Both of them. That's quite bemusing. [This makes her a bit more curious than she may have been only seconds ago.] So you believe it runs in your family?

A billionaire, wow. I rarely meet any of those at the hospital. [She gives him a playful smile. It never occurred to her to ask about his income the last time they had spoken.]

*Hiro nods.* It does. My grandparents may have had abilities, too. My father had my grandfather's diary and I believe he may have had an ability. He talks about hearing peoples' thoughts.

Well, I am not a famous man over here.

My uncle Chris is the only person in my family that I could think of with an ability, but he died a very long time ago. [Her thoughts wander if it's polite to keep asking questions for a moment, but keeps the questions going along.] And your parents? What so sort of abilities do they have?

Over here, meaning in this country...or over here as in another time?

My father could figure out all probabilities to anything faster than a computer, which is why we have so much money. My mother was a healer.

Over here in this country.

[quick nod to the letter] What's it say?

[Shows the letter to him, practically beaming.] That I've been accepted back into medical school.

[He skims the letter as she explains.] You're going back? Congratulations!

I've been wanting to go back since the day I resuscitated that little girl. It's quite exciting, and thank you. [She says the 'thank you' bit with both sign, and speak.]
