'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves . . .

*Though Gene Siskel listened politely, he was already reciting in his head, '...did gyre and gimbel in the wabe. All mimsy were the borogoves...' Because really, who didn't know that poem by heart?*

*Siskel was startled and momentarily thrown by the sudden digression*

So they don't make that sound unless they're really lost? I never assumed that about raths.

You don't say. What about the other raths though? How often do they find themselves mome? And why on earth were the borogoves so mimsy that day?

...I'm sorry. Please carry on.

Well, as my ignorance might suggest, I'm from pretty far off. It's a place called Chicago, and it's much further away than even Alice's home town. So naturally I've been limited only to textbook knowledge of this place so far. But I hope to pick up the rest of this as I go along.

Now, you left off telling me about outgribing mome raths?

You know, Hatter, it's rather creepy, the way you tell it.

*Murmurs aside to her* Actually, I think it sounds strangely natural coming from him. He tells it with a real flourish, doesn't he.

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

Jabberwocky.

I like to read. It happens to be one of my favorites.

Not where I am. I have a personal copy. First edition.

[And no, he's not telling you where it is.]

It's a place where you buy books.

No, they're books for you to read.
