I guessed you would be. [That, and he likes to keep track of people he's worked with; that's how he knew Eames was in Mombasa.] Studying hard?

I'm not staying out late partying if that's what you're asking.

[ She knows he wasn't, but she can't help but tease a little, anyway. ]

Miles won't talk about the... 'job' very much, but I think he's pleasantly surprised at how well I reacclimated to my studies and managed to stay awake during his class. [ As if his lectures could possibly be boring. ]

[And Arthur will tease back.] And you call yourself a student...

He's the one who recommended you. He'd be partly to blame if you ever fell asleep in class.

[ Ariadne arches her delicate brow lightly. ] Well, my reasons for wanting to sleep have nothing to do with his interesting class.

[ Her smile softens thoughtfully. ]

I'm not ungrateful, but sometimes reality just feels a little second-best. It really is all your fault, you know. Cobb's too. [ Not that she's complaining, of course. ]

Then I guess I owe you a second apology... I'm really in your bad books at the moment, aren't I?

Not yet. I'm still looking for an extractor to work with... No one's as good as Cobb. But I'm fine.

Good. While I don't think I'm nearly as bad as the average college student, I have been known to practically live on the stuff.
