Very well -- I was never one to refuse a lady. With the week not yet past, I have already met and spoken with two people who by all rights should have been centuries dead.

Yeah? I know one or two like that myself. It's always hard for me to wrap my brain around that sometimes. I mean, with the kind of lives they've had, it just, I dunno, I guess it throws me sometimes when I see them using cell phones or email.

And I can understand that. It's kinda hard to interrogate suspects via video-conference. [she laughs softly] And it's just better to sit across from someone and talk over coffee than try to juggle half a dozen different things and a cell phone.

It is. Some things are simply better handled the old-fashioned way, I've found. [He props his chin in one hand, examining her thoughtfully.] So. You are a . . . police officer, I gather? One who is apparently not terribly shocked by the immortal and the raised to life. How fascinating.

Anyway, I, uh, yeah. I should be dead, but I'm not. Obviously. I got shot a couple of years ago and, well... Came back a few hours later much to my surprise.
