[tries not to look too disappointed, really] Perhaps King Arthur will ring a bell. Camelot? Excalibur?

Ohhh yeah, the king with the sword. Yeah, him I remember. You were related to King Arthur? [looks pretty interested]

You could say that. He was my father.

[his eyes widen] Oh wow, really? That's... wow. So you were always royalty huh? [makes a mental note to look up Mordred and King Arthur on Wikipedia later]

[chuckles and nods] Basically, yes. I was his illegitimate son, so if he'd had a son with his wife, the legitimate child would have gotten the crown. Alas, I died before I became king.

Well... You became king after you died so I guess I all worked out for you in the end, right?

Many, many centuries later, yes, it did work out for me. [smirks] Too bad Mordred is remembered as a bad guy and I had to change my name.

Centuries... Geez. I'm sorry you had to change your name. But if it helps, like I said, I like the name Joseph

Mmhmm, I have been alive a very long time, Nick. Well, not alive per se, I guess. [grins] Hmm, you're biased.

Sort of alive... [he blushes at the grin, feeling like he knows about him and Joe somehow] Yeah, just a little bit biased.

Your Joseph...you're close to him?

You could say that.... Or you could say that we're extremely close, that would probably be more accurate.

Extremely close? Define "extremely."

Yes, but there are varying degrees of closeness. Platonic and...everything else.

Joe and I have moved passed platonic a little while ago. [tries not to blush again]

[smirks softly and nods] Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes platonic isn't enough.

Many people see a lot wrong with it [his face falls a little and he shakes his head] But it's what's best for us and platonic definitely wasn't enough anymore.

Love is blind. Love is, well, love. I can hardly throw stones in a glass house; my mother was my father's half-sister. In these modern times, it's an unconventional love, but as long as it's working for you, then who am I to judge?

[smiles a bit, liking that someone accepts them] It might seem silly but... thank you for saying that. It means so much more than you know. [blushes a little at how sentimental he's getting]

[Joseph grins, nodding a bit. He can tell that Nick is happy, and he's glad he's the cause of that] It's not silly at all, and you're welcome.

[blushes a little harder at Joseph's grin] I'm not usually... open like this. I think it's because you look just like Joe that I'm telling you so much

Oh, I don't mind. Please, talk away. I promise, your secrets are safe with me.

[smiles shyly] It's difficult having to hide our love from the world. I just love him so much I almost can't stand it sometimes. As cheesy as it sounds, he's my other half. He's everything to me... my brother, my best friend, my bandmate and my husband (in my heart at least since it's illegal). Nothing in this world makes me nearly as happy as just thinking about him and I can't share how amazing it all is with anyone.

Unfortunately, the world is far more repressed than it used to be and unable to accept that love manifests itself in many forms. I'm very sorry that you have to keep your feelings for him hidden, but at least he knows, yes?
