Great. [He empties his glass and heads back to the bar for another] Within the next few days, I'm probably going to be leaving town for a while. I thought we should have lunch before I go.
Do me a favour, call every now and again so I know you're alive. [Pepper was still nursing her drink. Unlike Face who seemed more in need, she was just drinking to be social.] We could make it breakfast, you know.
I guess I can check in. [He smiles and sets his glass down, walking over to stand in front of Pepper. He put his hands on her shoulders and lets his head fall to the side a little as he studies her] Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
[Pepper stepped closer, draping her arms over his shoulders. She leaned in and pressed a soft, lingering kiss to his lips.] You were honest with me when you didn't have to be.
[Pepper pulled back slightly, letting her hands run along the length of his arms only to take his hands. Yes, Face, she's going to lead you away from the bar now.] Your life would be too boring if more women were like me.
[He's more than happy to be lead away from the bar. Well, he got one drink, at least] Right, because it's incredibly exciting having women fall into bed with me without much encouragement. With you it's more like a prize. And a surprise. I mean, I wouldn't have expected you to be so direct.
[She smiled thoughtfully, glancing over her shoulder to ensure she wasn't going to trip over anything as she walked.] I'm a business woman above all else, Face. There are two things it's taught me: always know what you want and always be direct with the big boys to get what you want.
Some things are just universal. [Good man! Pepper's just going to take him down that hallway there and through a door at the end of the hall to her room.]
