Asked not to tell me? Really? That's what you're going with? I like how everyone's saying that - like maybe loyalty to me and telling the goddamned truth and putting me out of my misery wasn't a little more important than what Sam asked everyone to do.

And maybe I'm staying because I love her. You think about that? *he wasn't going to think about if it was true or not - because honestly? He was sure. He thought he did, but he also sort of thought that was something you didn't have to think about, and really, he wasn't too entirely sure what love felt like* Maybe I'm staying because I'm the closest thing to a Dad Ben has.

Well, Sam at the time wanted you to live the life you have now. No matter what anyone else thought about it. Maybe someone shoulda' told you, but.. in some way we all thought it was for the best. We'll mostly everyone. [She shrugs.]

[Briefly, Jo's jaw tightens and she lets her gaze wander anywhere, but Dean.] Yeah, maybe you do love her and maybe you are the closest thing to a dad Ben has, but.. if you truly love her and want to protect them, you'll leave. How long do you think it'll take before something comes and you're not there, you're out playing family man at your 9-5 job? Soon, everyone and everything will know about Lisa and Ben and then you're screwed.

*His own jaw tightens in response to her question and his hands clenched into fists against his sides* Let me get this strait, Jo. So everyone tells me that I'm doing the right thing by going to Lisa and Ben, to not fighting to find a way to get Sam out of hell, for not hunting. Everyone keeps Sam being fucking alive from me because you all want me to live this life, except now that I'm in deep enough that I don't want to leave, everyone's telling me I'm being selfish by staying?
