Give him time. He is but a young demon, he has much to learn still. It's not like you learned everything as soon as you fell, Mephisto.

How long have you given him? And I would thank you if it didn't mean me perhaps owing you a favor.

Yes, it was, but it took everyone time to learn all of what we have available to us now. And not all younger demons are as...keen as him at times. You know that.

Cliche, are we? Ahem, alright, I'll make sure he has something accomplished for you by then.

You would think, but unfortunately, these Winchesters are not the easiest beings to work with.

You've cursed my mun with that as well, good job. Of course, I'm not that inexperienced at teaching, Mephisto. I know just how to push my students to their limits. Either he will learn or hurt from it. Simple as that.

Have you not worked with the boy king yet?

[identity profile] princeofwrath.livejournal.com 2010-10-05 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
She curses you too, not that that stands for much. Perhaps both, to be honest. I think the idea of you torturing him might be too much to pass up. He'll learn something there as well.

Lucky you.

A little bit of both, actually. It's both entertaining and well, teaches him something. Two birds with one stone and every other idiom you wish to throw in there.

Of course I do. But I'd like to hear yours first.

Of course, of course, we all have our different strokes, after all. But I am sure that this will all be for the better with him. He will learn from his punishment.

Were it your decision, there would never be anyone suitable for our lord and master, would there?

[identity profile] princeofwrath.livejournal.com 2010-10-30 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
So you could continue punishing him until he did?

Of course not. But you know as well as I that he could do better than he is now, yes?

Entertainment value. Practice. Study.

That Winchester boy is more trouble than he is worth at times.

I do not see why not. Sometimes it is good to see what future our youth holds for all of the above.

I would say his lack thereof is part of the issue. Otherwise...the contract only holds him so far with us. Considering how he acts towards us now, there's no guarantee it is going to keep this neutral relationship.

[identity profile] princeofwrath.livejournal.com 2010-10-31 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
And you do not think that some novices up above are already doing that? We need to see to those still on Earth and make sure that they start with the right foot forward, do we not?

Seemed, being the key word. He is ruining my protege as it is with his...constant worry. I simply think it could eventually extend beyond that, to the point he's even more useless than he is now.

I know they are not. I simply pose a question. Please, calm yourself, wouldn't want your panties in a bunch over such a simple discussion. [Yes, he's teasing on purpose.]

Partially. And I can't not. He's Michael's vessel and he has such potential. If Alastair had properly worked him over the first time, we wouldn't have to worry about him so much. Besides, that Boy King can't be trusted. He could still turn on us, you know that. The contract doesn't dictate what he does, just makes sure he doesn't give out too much information on us.
