No. When I do something knowingly, it's part of a plan. A plan isn't a mistake.

I suppose that's a good point. But sometimes when you don't have a plan you can still knowingly do something you know wont have a great ending.

It isn't a mistake. If you intended it to happen, whether the outcome is desirable or not, it isn't a mistake. A mistake is defined as being the result of ignorance or inattention. To take an action ill-advised action isn't a mistake. It's simply a poor choice.
