[Remus memorizes the places and where they, he pause in front of the place for chocolate and quickly runs inside. He has enough for one bar and comes out with that bar] Sorry...I'm kind of addicted to chocolate. [he smiles. Once they are in Central Park he smiles, it's amazing] I like it here.

[Fitch files this away for future reference and smiles when Remus tells him how much he likes Central Park] Good! We can come walking here sometime, if you want. There are lots of trails.

[he eats a bit of the chocolate before putting it away in his jumper pocket] I'd love to. [he smiles and reaches his hand down to touch Fitch's, asking if it was okay to hold his hand]

[Fitch immediately takes Remus's hand into his, lacing their fingers together] At night time, there are carriage rides you can take through the park.

That sound very romantic. [he grins]

I wouldn't know...but maybe we can find out. [Fitch grins back at Remus]

I'd love to find out.

Then I guess I know what we're doing for our first date tonight then. [Fitch is happy]

[Remus chuckles] We haven't had a first date yet and we're all moved in together.

[Fitch shrugs] It works for us.

It does. [he smiles and leans over for a small kiss]

[Fitch squeezes his hand before leading him out of Central Park and hailing a taxi cab] I'm going to take you over to Little Italy so we can eat at Francesco's. It's got the best Italian food ever!

[Remus watches him hail the cab, he' never been in one before] Okay. I've never really had Italian food so it'll be a first.

Trust me, you'll love it. [He holds the door open so Remus can climb into the cab]

[and he does, looking around the small space he's kind of feeling...closed in] I hope so.

[Fitch notices he looks uncomfortable and puts a comforting arm around him] Don't worry. It's like a 5 minute ride.

[he nods and leans into Fitch's frame. The cabbie doesn't even notice] So was today your day off or something? I thought you were a doctor.

I'm actually taking some of my vacation time right now. I've got 4 months worth, so I took a month off. I'm only 5 days into it.

...Why'd you randomly take a month off? [he wonders for a split second if it has anything to do with him but quickly dismisses that]

[Fitch is silent for a moment before answering] I needed some time to myself. I...I had a four year old die on me. I didn't take it very well. [Fitch looks quickly out the window, tears welling up in his eyes]

[Remus quickly takes his hand and pulls his face to him] I'm sorry Fitch. [he looks into those eyes before leaning in to kiss him softly] It'll be okay.

[Fitch tries to breathe calmly before giving Remus a slightly watery smile] I know. But it's so hard when I know that she was killed by her own father! A parent should never hurt their child like that.

[Remus makes a note to never bring up his father then] Listen Fitch...did you try your best to save her?

I did, and I don't know why sometimes I'm a doctor. I just fail anyway no matter what I do.

No. Fitch, [he runs a comforting hand through his hair] How many people have you saved?
