Thinking of switching to family practice.

I think it's a hazing thing. If you can make it through medical school, you can handle patients.

[Martha nods thoughtfully.] You do have a point. Working in a clinic is not the easiest job.

It's not even the patients I mind. Kids are great. I love kids. It's the parents I can't stand.

You better bloody well love kids. I have to suffer for the next seven months to have yours!

[She smiles faintly. If only he knew...that in another time he'd given his life for hers. Sometimes she felt so small next to him.]
