*laughs* Heck no, made a friend. Gonna make it out okay if it kills me.

[smiles and chuckles] Good, better not be. A friend, huh? What's he like?

He's cool. He reminds me of you - kinda looks like you if I take my glasses off but only superficially. I'll tell you more when I see you - I can't say his name here - camp rules.

Exactly - and he's cool, he gets out before me - you guys can have lunch or something - plan my homecoming party.

Yeah, I wish too. If I wasn't sure Dad would throw you right back in and send me to like, Australia to keep me away - I would. I'm coming to visit you though during family visitation or whatever it is. Dad won't want me to but I've had enough of him

[sighs] I know, I haven't done anything. But I'm coming, even if I have to drive there myself because Dad won't take me with him.

O... but I might've yelled at him earlier. Like... a lot. [looks sheepish]

*wide eyes* You yelled at dad? I yelled at dad on the way here!

You did? Good. Yeah, I yelled a lot. He was trying to take your things and move you out but I didn't even let him up the stairs. Said it was my house and he'd already taken enough things out of it without explaining it to me. I said some nasty stuff too... And when he tried to tell me I was done speaking to him like that, I told him I was done speaking to him period. I'm pretty sure steam came out of his ears.

OH wow. Nicky! I said don't do something dumb! You gotta be careful!

I don't care.... he deserved it. He's already stolen enough from me [huffs and crosses his arms over his chest]

*smirks* Yes, sir. *then kisses the end of Nick's nose* My hero.

[smirks as well] I don't care if he's our dad or not - No one can just walk into my house and steal what's mine. [wrinkles his nose at the kiss and smiles] I wish I could be your hero

Baby.. you are. Don't you know that?

[smile fades a little and touches Joe's hand] If I was, then I would've been able to keep this from happening... I'd be able to figure out a way to fix it.

*before he can start crying - grabs Nick and hugs him tight*

[hugs Joe back just as tightly, burying his face in his neck] I'll find some way to make it right... I have to. I owe you that much
