It's my birthday today. Let's celebrate!

Thank you, Hannibal. [she smiles] I didn't exactly plan anything though.

I didn't know it was your birthday, so neither did I.

Not many people know about my birthday. So, you would have planned something had you known?

Well, I don't know you well, so nothing too elaborate. I'd have brought a card, at least.

Mostly, I suppose. It's been quiet.

Quiet can be good sometimes.

It's more of a case of not having a lot of friends to celebrate with me.

That's a shame.

True. But I'm working on making friends. Slowly but surely.

It looks like you're doing pretty well.

I think I am. Though I've made more male friends than female. I'm not sure what that says about me.

Does it have to say anything?

Well, I suppose not really. I'm still getting used to the idea of having friends.

It can take some adjustments in thinking if you're not used to it. You'll do fine, though.
