Finally got all my stuff unpacked.

[grins] Me too. I'm an only child. Are you too?

I've got a big brother. Ridley. He's pretty cool.

So, you wouldn't be here if you weren't special... can I ask what you can do?

Mhmm. [She grins a little at that.]

I can move things with my mind and sometimes I hear thoughts...

Oh, cool! Can I see?

I, um...okay. [Cassie nods and holds a hand up towards her sketching pencils, only to have one lift up and float over to Kitty slowly.]

[Kitty reaches up and plucks it out of the air with a grin]

That's awesome! What's the biggest thing you can move?

I don't mess around with it too much, but I moved a person once. Slightly.

[nods] That's really impressive.

Want to see what I can do?

[picks up the pencil Cassie just floated to her and makes like she's gonna stab herself in the hand with it... but of course, it just passes through harmlessly]

I can phase through anything.

Oh jeeze. I thought you were really going to...yeah. That's cool though.

...You don't fall though things though, do you?

I did at first, until I learned to control it.

Though, sometimes, when I dream... I end up under the bed.

Well you know, no one's perfect, right?

[nods] I know. It's still frustrating though. It's why my room's on the ground floor, so I don't accidentally end up in someone else's bed.

Precautions. Always a good thing.

It's why I wear these. [She wiggles her fingers to better show her purple winter gloves.]

*furrow her brow, confused* How will those keep you from having an accident with your ability?

I, um... My skin's really cold. All the time.

Oh. That must be annoying. Do you feel cold, or is your skin just cold to the touch?

It's like...going outside when it's chilly without a coat.

Oh, I get it. And the gloves help keep you warm?

Uh huh. And because people found it kinda odd if they touched my skin.
