I think it becomes "villainy" when it arises as a pattern?

What are you trying to say? More noble endeavors have to outweigh the villainous endeavors? If you have a pattern of one and interrupt it with another, it doesn't count? What if you have a varying pattern of villainous-to-noble acts? Which one wins out? This sounds fishy to me!

I am saying that there are times when people might have a very good reason to do a very bad thing. But if you do bad things for selfish reasons, or no reason at all, then maybe, just perhaps, you are delving into the villanous.
