Rose had been sitting behind having issues with her lighter and needed a cigarette. "Hey you wouldn't by chance have a light on ya?" She asked with a bit of a frown.

Rose takes a moment to look at case and lighter, he wasn't a typical bloke, she lights up her cigarette and says. "Got good taste mate." She hands it back to him, noticing he was looking for flats. "What's a posh chap like you doing in a small dinner looking for flats?" Blunt and direct, two things Rose Tyler was known for, along with curious and observant.

“You know the saying: all that glitters ---that would be me. I glitter but I’m not so gold as you think I might be. So, I’m in a small place looking for flats and giving a girl my share of the last of my expensive cigars. While drinking god awful small place coffee that will likely kill me first before I get a chance to pick a decent flat, which will save me the hassle of wondering can I afford a place on my own.”
