Well, it's kinda complicated to explain.

[Conveniently, there's a wilted flower and a regular flower on the table. Zoe takes out her cellphone to set the timer "app" to one minute. She touches the wilted flower, which blooms. Exactly one minute later, the other flower wilts.]

Yeah, a lot can happen in a minute...
