[Kai passes on the other side of the street, but hears the crying. He pauses for a second, looking toward the kid. Was this another one of them? He'll risk it. That crying was terrible. He trots over and kneels next to her.] Hey, kiddo, what happened? [He checks out her knee, making sure not to touch so he won't hurt her.]
