You had a dream last night, Tron? Do you want to talk about it?

There was a quiet grind of processors, just for a moment, and he shook his head, "Just memories."

What kind of memories, man? They can be significant to how you lived your past. I often dream about the past and how things have changed.

Another narrow head shake, "Nothing of import." This was followed a moment later by: "Nothing that can be corrected."

You mean you had a dream about when you were yourself? Back when you were...Tron. [He whispered the last words and closed his eyes. He could remember the old Tron, bright, strong and a close friend.]

You look like someone in need of company.

There was a momentary grind of processors, conflicting information smashing against itself, but finally he nodded, "It would be appreciated." To remind himself who he was, if nothing else.

I realize that we don't know one another all that well, but I've been told that sometimes it can be beneficial to talk to someone when you are feeling... troubled.

Of course, if you do not wish to talk that's okay too.

"Talking is good." He agreed with a tight nod, mostly because if he was talking he was probably Tron and could keep Rinzler at bay, regardless of what the dreams had stirred up.

Well in that case, I am Sash.

Another narrow nod, "I know. I am..." That momentary grind of conflicting information, an audible growl of it before he finally got to: "I am Tron."

I see rumors of your deresolution were greatly exaggerated. [She frowns slightly.]

You were missed, but then I suppose you know that.

"I have heard." And he'd seen it, in the few programs who actually believed that he wasn't Rinzler any more, though that was a slow and uphill battle. They were too conditioned to him being Clu's attack dog.

Things will be better. It'll take time, but perhaps we will be all the stronger for it.

That same narrow, controlled nod again, "We will. Just how things are, forged by fire, as the User saying goes."

[She nods in agreement.]

I'm glad that we have finally met, Tron. Even if the circumstances are less than pleasant.

His head tilted just slightly, "They could be better." He finally said, adding, "But they could have been worse." After all, he could still have been Rinzler and everything could still be under Clu's rule.

Indeed.

Still, things are the way they are. There isn't much point in dwelling on things that can't be changed.

Or so I've been told. [Often, she doesn't add.]

There was that same spare, narrow nod again, "Yes, some things can be corrected for ther future, but not retroactively."
