*fluffs it a bit* Well, 'm rather partial to it. Dunno what I would do with it if it weren't as messy as a Hippogriff's nest.
He just introduced himself as "Severus Snape", so I'm really not sure what to call him but "Sir". He was surprised, yes. Said you two hated one another.
*chuckles at the fluffing* Yes, well you come by it naturally.
I'm sure as long as you are respectful he is fine with whatever you call him. We did hate each other. He thought I was arrogant and I thought he was evil. It's a complicated history, and by the time I realized I was wrong about him there wasn't anything I could to try and change it.
ooc: omg I just saw Al comment to the diary post. His father is going to flail!!!!!! ;)
Three generations at least of bad hair. Dunno about Grandad's father's hair.
I'll have to ask him the next time we speak. I rather got the feel of that...Well, not the evil bit until he mentioned he had been a Death Eater. He really doesn't seem to hate you, though. Maybe dislike, but.
*pause* I think he likes me, or the very least he doesn't dislike me.
ooc: What sort of Potter would Al be if he didn't get into trouble? ;)
I'm not sure either. I imagine it has probably been in the family for generations.
I thought he treated me unfairly when I was your age, and to a degree he did, but he was right about the arrogance. I may not have had it to the degree he assumed I did, but I did believe I knew more than those much older and wiser around me knew. I won't attempt to explain his history to you because I can't pretend to understand, but if he is willing to talk with you then you could learn a thing or too. Perhaps you will teach him a thing or too as well.
*smiles* You have your grandmother's eyes, and your mother's charm so I am sure he does.
ooc: Well yes. Add in he has Weasley genes too and it makes perfect sense. Harry is still flailing!
When I was a little younger than you, my aunt Petunia cut my hair so short that it felt like it would never grow back again. The next morning it was as if she never took the scissors to it.
You never know. You're quite clever.
All three of you are named after extraordinary people. It works out since the three of you are extraordinary in your own right.

I'm glad. *and then a bit of a smirk* I met one of the ones you named me for.

*looks curious* Oh really, which one?

Professor Snape. Or is it Headmaster? Mister? *considers this*

He'll always be Professor Snape to me. I take it he was surprised that you were named after him?

I'm not sure what I could possibly teach him.
*looks down* Yeah...Well...Thank you. Meeting him makes me appreciate the name more.
ooc: I sense fun times ahead.

*grins* We'll see. No guarantees I'll see him much.
Except the fact he's offered to teach me Potions. You're only saying that 'cos you're our dad.
no subject
Have you met anyone else interesting at school?
I'd say it even if I wasn't your dad.
no subject
Would not. Or rather, you can't say that honestly because you ARE my dad.
